In November, the trees are standing all sticks and bones. Without their leaves, how lovely they are, spreading their arms like dancers. They know it is time to be still.

And we know that it is one of the best months to travel. It is the month when autumn quietly nears its end painting the canvas of the earth with the most vibrant colors of nature and the month when winter begins to arrive sneakily. And what could be more enchanting than to travel to witness the farewell of autumn and the welcome of winter in different parts of the world.

But before you take off to these places let me attempt to write an ode to the beautiful month of November:

be like November

the second last chapter of the year-book

that lets go of all that doesn’t bloom

so gracefully

so that there’s more space for

new beginnings

that lets new beginnings arrive quietly

without making much sound

because good things don’t always start with a bang

sometimes you can’t even tell

if something good has already begun in your life

until it’s halfway through

so let’s be like November

letting go of all that doesn’t bloom in our lives

gracefully

so that new things can bloom

so that we can bloom

ah! so gracefully
