The Bimmah Sinkhole is a sinkhole found in the Muscat governorate of Oman. It is located in Hawiyat Najm Park, which translates as Meteor Fall Park in Arabic.

It is sometimes referred to as Hawiyat Najm Park, is a sinkhole approximately 200 meters inland filled with water, and is widely considered one of the most stunning natural pools in the whole world.

It can be found in the Dabab region of Wilayat Qurayyat, in the Sultanate of Oman's Muscat Governorate, on the northeastern shore of Muscat Governorate.

Things to do at Bimmah Sinkhole:

  • Witness the natural phenomenon that beats science:

The sinkhole, located around 600 meters inland from the coast, has fresh and equal saltwater proportions, giving it a turquoise hue. The fact that its water is connected to the ocean through a narrow tube underneath gives it a taste that is both fresh and salty. It is the ideal location for tourists looking for an image that would look good on a postcard and look well on their list of lovely spots to visit.

  • Get involved in water sports for the adrenaline rush:

Due to its relatively shallow depth of around 20 meters, the Sinkhole pool is a popular destination for scuba divers.

  • Unwind in this retreat to beat the heat:

People who are only traveling through the region frequently detour here to get some relief from the blazing heat for a few hours. It is a sanctuary for travelers who have traveled a great distance through the heat of the desert, typically on their route to Wadi Shab, searching for ways to cool down. One can enter the cavern completely and swim in the refreshing waters or simply rest on the rocks and dip their feet.

  • Plan a picnic here:

Because of its location between the villages of Bimmah and Dibab, it is an excellent spot for swimming and taking in the area's breathtaking scenery. You may descend the steps into the water and proceed down to the limestone structure if you want. You may hang out at the park and have a BBQ there, or they can go swimming with small fish known to nip people's toes.

Explore the neighborhood:

  • To mention just a few, there is the illustrious Wadi Shab, the Wadi Tiwi, and the Wadi Al Arbeieen.
