A refuge in the untamed wilderness can be found at the Parc Forestier du Mont Boron. It is said that prehistoric ancestors who lived in the Terra-Amata cave right at the base of the hill used it as a hunting ground 400,000 years ago. At that time, the cave was located directly

below the mountain. Today, it is a large park that spans 57 hectares and is frequented by families and hikers who take in the breathtaking vistas, and unique flora, and fauna.

THINGS TO DO AT PARC FORESTIER DU MONT BORON:

Embrace the wilderness as you get up close and personal with nature:

Within the dense forest in the Mediterranean region, there is a network of walkways spanning 11 kilometers. Take this opportunity to discover the explorer that lies inside you. It’s a pleasure to walk among the wilderness of Aleppo pine trees, green oak trees, wild olive trees, and other local flora and fauna as you explore this area.

You will see some rare and protected flora, such as rose daphne, the Nice snowflake, and the dwarf palm, as you hike along the trail.

Get a dose of history and art combined in age-old monument visits:

The majestic Fort du Mont Alban, which dates back to the 16th century and is now designated as a Historical Monument, can be found in the middle of the park. This monument is where you may admire the antiquity and history of the fort. It is only possible to go inside if you are part of a pre-arranged tour group; nevertheless, you can walk around the walls and climb the stone stairs leading to the entrance. If you

make the ascent to the fort; you will be rewarded with sweeping panoramic views stretching from the Esterel mountains in the west to the Cap Ferrat peninsula in the east.

Call it a party with your friends and family:

There are pétanque areas, workout routes, and relaxation spots with picnic tables scattered across the location. It has shady places for the entire family to sit at one of the picnic tables and spend quality time.

Enjoy some downtime soaking in the views:

One of the most breathtaking vistas in the entire area, spanning from Italy to the Estérel, can be seen from Parc du Mont Boron.

Burn some calories by involving yourself in cardio exercises in the green gym:

A fitness track that spans a distance of one and a half kilometers and winds through the woods will put you through your paces with pull-ups, sit-ups, and other resistance exercises at each workout station along the way.
