Palacio del Marques de Dos Aguas is a museum for antique ceramics contained in a beautiful baroque building. You are fully aware that you are in the gilded heart of Valencian heritage. The museum opened in 1954 after a sizable restoration and has been a museum since 1947 due to the metal of a donation from collector Manuel Gonzalez Marti. This former palace for a noble family is now home to the finest collection of ceramics in Spain. Including Greek and Roman objects from antiquity, medieval stoneware and lustreware that glisten like the sun, extraordinary marbled staircases, ceilings gilded in gold leaf, and room after room filled with breathtaking pieces of porcelain. And traditional Valencian tiles, and other handmade ceramics, all of which have their own stories to tell about everyday life.
